BOĞAZİÇİ MASALLARININ ÇOCUK EĞİTİMİNDE KULLANILMASI VE İŞLEVLERİNİ YİTİRİŞİ

Özet

Fairy tales are one of the disappearing anonymous folk literature genres. The fairy tale, which has lost its function over time and has been replaced by other elements, has assumed many functions throughout history. The tales used for entertaining, educating, providing cultural transfer and language acquisition have lost their importance and functions today; most of the tales that have not been written down have been forgotten in the dusty pages of history. With the researchers' interest in anonymous folk literature genres, fairy tale compilation studies have intensified. These compilation studies carried out in our country aimed to transcribe the fairy tale texts that are disappearing. Various studies on these transcribed fairy tale texts are still continuing today. This study is one of them. The study, which deals with nineteen fairy tale texts compiled by using the interview method from Boğaziçi town of Düzce province, deals with the use of these fairy tales in child education and the reasons for the loss of their functions. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the fairy tales aimed to encourage good qualities such as lying, honesty and patience, and to distract from bad qualities such as jealousy, greed and laziness. These educational messages given through various situations were intended to be conveyed through the heroes. Used for this purpose for many years, fairy tales started to lose their functions due to reasons such as the development of technology, the spread of educational institutions and the development of the modern understanding of education. In the study, fairy tale compilation studies and the tradition of telling fairy tales in the town of Boğaziçi were also briefly mentioned.
