TÜRKLER VE MOĞOLLARIN KONARGÖÇERLİK HAYATININ ORTAK HUSUSLARI

Özet

Throughout history, Turkic and Mongols communities have been nomadic pastoralists engaged in animal husbandry and agriculture since ancient times. These two nations, which share many common cultural elements, are also closely connected in terms of historical background. The shared cultures of the Turkish and Mongolian peoples can be observed in archaeological excavations from the ancient Bronze Age and the Hun period, as well as in findings from kurgans. Additionally, sources written in Chinese, Persian, Turkic and Mongolian mention the similarities between the steppe lifestyles and cultures of the Mongols and Turkic.
Although the nomadic lifestyle and pastoral traditions were once widespread among Turkic and Mongolian peoples, they have gradually declined over time. We observe that people have increasingly migrated from rural areas to cities, preferring urban life. As the number of herders involved in animal husbandry decreases, it raises concerns that the shared traditions of the nomadic way of life may also be forgotten over time. Therefore, the scientific study of the common traditions of the Turkic world and the Mongols is of great importance. In the era of globalization, researching such traditions is seen as crucial for reviving the awareness of nomadic people whose ancient customs are fading. In our study, these common traditions, particularly the shared aspects of the nomadic lifestyles of the Turks and Mongols, have been examined from a scientific perspective.
